A lot of newer laptops and monitors support 4k resolutions. My Dell Precision 17.3″ has a native resolution of 3840 x 2160. Unless you like to get very close to your screen or you’ve got amazing great vision, scaling the display is necessary to make everything look alright.
In Kali Linux, this is exceptionally easy. A tool called Tweak Tool is already installed in the 2017.1 version of Kali.
Here are the simple steps:
- Run “gnome-tweak-tool” from a terminal window
- Select the Window tab from the left side.
- Set the HiDPI field to “2” or more. Unfortunately, something like “1.5” is not yet possible.
- A reboot is required for every to scale correctly.
